Yu-Hsuan Lin was born in Taichung, Taiwan. That‘s where she started taking
piano lessons as a child. At age 14 she came to Austria. While still at secondary
school she studied with Prof. Antoinette Van Zabner in Vienna and won
first prizes at „Prima La Musica“ in 2006 and 2008. Since 2008 she studied
IGP piano at the Vienna University of Music with Prof. Van Zabner. In 2015
she finished her Master Studies. In 2015 she finished her Master Studies.
Throughout her studies she performed in chamber music ensembles and took
part in ensemble projects for two pianos. She also attended master classes
with Anatol Ugorski, Matthias Kirschnereit and Makiko Nishikaze at the
„Vienna Days of Contemporary Piano Music“.
At the moment she teaches the piano and works as piano accomponist at various communal music schools in Niederösterreich. In 2020 the double CD “reflected” which she recorded with Helmut Hödl will be released by Preiser Records.
