Nikolaus Wagner studied at the Vienna Conseratory and at the Vienna University of Music and  Performing Arts . Numerous concerts and recitals have taken him to the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Philharmonic Halls in Berlin, Cologne and Baden Baden Freiburg. He also appeared in New York and took part in the "Palmklang" Festival in Oberalm and the Mecklenburg Vorpommern Festival.
He is a permanent piano partner to members of the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Viennese Radio Symphony Orchestra, Tonk√ľnstlerorchester Nieder√∂sterreich, Bruckner Orchestra Linz, DSO Berlin and "ensemble intercontempoire Paris". As a member of the Trio Marc Chagall he is an award-winner of the Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition. In addition he is a Herbert von Karajan scholarship holder and winning performer of the "musica juventutis" competition.
Nikolaus Wagner is a solo repetiteur at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz and piano teacher at the Upper Austrian Institute of Music Education.
